Ohio State has attacked the offseason like no team we have seen before, adding top players through the portal and even keeping players who were supposed to head to the NFL.

Ohio State Is Loaded At Running Back

One of the positions that saw talent come in and stay was running back when senior TreVeyon Henderson decided he would not enter the NFL Draft and would come back and play one more season for the Buckeyes. Ole Miss transfer Quinshon Judkins would leave the Rebels and join Ohio State.

When big-time players stay, and new great players come, it means players get pushed down the depth charts, and for running back Dallan Hayden, that was his worst nightmare.

Dallan Hayden Went Into The Spring Portal

Hayden was supposed to be the starting running back in 2024 for Ohio State because Henderson was supposed to head to the NFL. Nobody saw Judkins coming in, but both things happened, and Hayden decided to enter the transfer portal last week.

Hayden played a significant role for the Buckeyes in 2022. When Henderson went out with an injury late in the season, Hayden became the starting running back in the Maryland game. They would have lost that game without him.

Hayden Is Heading To Colorado

According to Steve Wiltfong from On3.com , Hayden has committed to Colorado. This is a big-time deal for Deion Sanders and the Colorado program. They are getting a great running back who would not see the field at Ohio State because the two best running backs in the country were in front of him on the depth chart. Hayden should play a significant role at Colorado, and I wish him all the best.
