Four-star cornerback Bryce West committed to Ohio State's 2024 class, according to a social media post Saturday.

West is the No. 1 recruit in Ohio and the No. 4 player at his position in the nation, as ranked by the 247Sports composite. The 5-foot-11 West is from Cleveland and plays at Glenville High School.

Michigan made a push to land West, but his commitment to Ohio State gives the Buckeyes the top in-state player for six straight classes.

With West's commitment, the Buckeyes now have the No. 2-ranked class in the nation behind Georgia, per the 247Sports composite. He becomes the top-ranked defensive player in the 2024 class, which is headlined by a pair of five-star wide receivers -- Jeremiah Smith of Florida and Mylan Graham of Indiana.
