The Ole Miss Rebels will add former NFL head coach Joe Judge to its coaching staff ahead of the 2024 season.

Tyler Komis of Inside the Rebels for 247Sports reports that Lane Kiffin opted to bring in Joe Judge, another NFL-experienced mind.

Judge, a three-time Super Bowl champion and two-time BCS National Champion, has spent the last 12 seasons in the NFL, bouncing around from the New England Patriots and New York Giants.

Ole Miss adds Joe Judge.

Before the NFL, he joined his alma mater, Mississippi State University, as a graduate assistant for the Bulldogs in 2005. He then briefly served as the linebackers coach for the Birmingham–Southern Panthers in 2008 and then as a special teams assistant for Alabama.

Judge spent the majority of his NFL coaching career in various roles on the Patriots, including special teams assistant, special teams coordinator, and wide receivers coach, before landing his first head coaching gig for the New York Giants for two seasons (2020-2021).

The Giants would fire Judge following a 10-23 overall record.

Judge returned to the Patriots as Co-Offensive Coordinator and quarterbacks coach until Bill O’Brien replaced him. Joe stayed with the Patriots in 2023 as an assistant head coach.

Judge now heads to “the Sip” to help Lane Kiffin for this season.
