One school ran away with the best National Signing Day

Money talks, as the saying goes. And nowhere does it talk louder in college football than at Oregon, whose NIL collective apparently lured a boatload of talented football recruits to Eugene.

Division Street, led by Nike co-founder and Oregon booster Phil Knight, is the marquee NIL collective in college sports. Per On3, an NIL expert said, "They are the model. They are built by the smartest sports marketers."

The NIL collective has a strong infrastructure with multiple former Nike execs in key roles, as well as former Ducks women's basketball great Sabrina Ionescu as chief athlete officer.

Division Street's forward-thinking ventures include one in which a player is chosen to host a house on Airbnb and receives a portion of revenue from rentals. (h/t Division Street)

Oregon has flipped players previously connected to Baylor, LSU, and Notre Dame. Wednesday began with news that the Ducks flipped a commitment to Baylor by four-star quarterback Austin Novosad of Dripping Springs, Texas. (h/t On3.com)

The biggest splash came when the program reached an agreement with safety Peyton Bowen after the five-star prospect had committed to Notre Dame in January 2022. (h/t On3.com)

Oregon's also rerouted four-star cornerback Daylen Austin from LSU. Per On3, Austin committed to the Tigers in May 2022.

The Athletic's Stewart Mandel wrote that Wednesday would be a demonstration of which schools have the strongest NIL programs.

The Ducks are reaping the rewards.
