Former Oregon Ducks cornerback Trikweze Bridges announced his transfer commitment to the Florida Gators on social media Monday morning.

“Thank you once again for everything Duck Nation,” Bridges wrote in a farewell note. “I am proud to have been a part of the Oregon family and Oregon will always have a special place in my heart. Once a Duck, always a Duck.”

The fifth-year corner was one of three players in the secondary who entered the transfer portal this offseason, along with Bryan Addison and Daymon David.

Bridges posted recruiting photos at Florida and Washington before posting “tomorrow” Sunday night teasing his transfer commitment.

He was a staple in Demetrice Martin's cornerback rotation of Khyree Jackson, Jahlil Florence, Dontae Manning and Nikko Reed.

Bridges stepped up in the final games of the season as Florence was injured during the Oregon State game and the Pac-12 Championship.

The Alabama native originally signed to Oregon as a three-star (.8874 per 247Sports Composite) safety. but transitioned to the corner position for a majority of his time in Eugene.

During his time at Oregon, Bridges accumulated 4 interceptions, 91 total tackles and 9 pass breakups.

The Ducks are losing three corners after this season, as Jackson is not eligible for another college season.

But Oregon can make up for that during the upcoming signing day as Oregon has three cornerbacks committed in the 2024 recruiting class in All-Americans Dakoda Fields and Ify Obidegwu from the high school ranks, and Sione Laulea III, the nation's No. 3 junior college prospect out of the College of San Mateo.
