Oregon Ducks unveil 'Stomp Out Cancer' uniforms for UCLA clash
The 12th-ranked Oregon Ducks improved to 5-1 on the season via Saturday's 49-22 win over the Arizona Wildcats and presented fans with a visual gift on the Monday of their bye week.
As mentioned by TMZ Sports and Zachary Neel of Ducks Wire/USA Today, Oregon unveiled special "Stomp Out Cancer" uniforms for the upcoming showdown against the No. 11-ranked UCLA Bruins (6-0) held at Oregon's Autzen Stadium on Oct. 22.
The uniforms meant to honor Breast Cancer Awareness month feature bright pink numbers, letters and school logos placed across black jerseys. Wings on the helmets and also player gloves, wristbands, and cleats will also sport the shade of pink.
Both outlets pointed out that the latest Oregon jerseys resemble what was worn during Octobers when star quarterback and current Atlanta Falcons signal-caller Marcus Mariota played for the Ducks from 2012-14. Back then, Oregon rocked hot-pink helmets with silver wings.
Oregon's only loss, to date, of the campaign was the 49-3 thumping at the hands of the Georgia Bulldogs in the regular-season opener back on Sept. 3.
