Oregon’s head coach, Dan Lanning, has had an awesome first two years with the Ducks, and he is on a roll in the transfer portal and the recruiting ranks this offseason. He landed another big-time player in the recruiting cycle on Friday.

Oregon Landed A Four-Star Linebacker

Hayes Fawcett from On3.com states, “Four-star linebacker Nasir Wyatt has committed to Oregon.

Wyatt stands at 6-foot-3, 225 pounds, and is from Santa Ana, California, and chose the Ducks over Tennessee, Texas, and USC.

Wyatt’s Recruiting Profile

The 6-foot-3 linebacker attends Mater Dei School in California, and according to 247sports.com, he is ranked as the 70th-best overall player and the 12th-highest edge in the 2025 class.

The Ducks will be getting a very talented football player next season, and they were able to take him away from one of their biggest rivals, USC.

USC Will Also Be Heading To The Big Ten

Just like the Ducks, USC will also be leaving to join the Big Ten this season, so both teams will be playing new opponents they have never seen before. You have to be able to play defense in the Big Ten if you want a chance to win, so adding one of the best linebackers in next year’s class will help Oregon in a very talented Big Ten while it can hurt USC, which is going to have to find a star player at that position now.
