Oregon Football is set to begin fall camp on Wednesday and they'll welcome back one of their top offensive weapons.

Junior tight end Terrance Ferguson, who missed time this spring with an injury, has been fully cleared to return to action.

"I'm great right now," he said Monday at Oregon Football's media day. "I'm excited to get out there Wednesday, get to it. Every year you're waiting for the season, you practice a long offseason, so I'm excited to get back out there."

Ferguson played in 13 games last season and hauled in 32 passes for 391 receiving yards and five touchdowns, a mark second only to Troy Franklin, who had nine.

He was a top red zone target for quarterback Bo Nix throughout the year, and Oregon's offense will get a boost when he returns to the practice fields at the Hatfield-Dowlin complex.

Dan Lanning also commented on Ferguson's health and return from injury on Monday.

"He's done a great job this summer. We'll continue to assess it," the head coach said. "Obviously the safety of our players is priority number one. You don't want to rush a guy back, but he's certainly looked good this summer and is tracking in the right direction."

Ferguson is Oregon's most productive tight end on the roster and will play a crucial role in the success of the offense in 2023. His health is paramount especially after the team lost Moliki Matavao and Cam McCormick to the transfer portal following last season.

The Ducks return junior Patrick Herbert and also added three new tight ends this offseason. True freshman Kenyon Sadiq was the No. 1 player in Idaho coming out of high school and Casey Kelly joins the Ducks after transferring from Ole Miss.
