Oregon's Thomas Graham Jr. declares for 2021 NFL Draft

On Thursday, Oregon senior cornerback Thomas Graham Jr. became the third noteworthy Ducks player to recently declare for the 2021 NFL Draft. Graham made his decision public via Twitter.

Oregon offensive tackle Penei Sewell, widely viewed as a top-five prospect of next year's draft class, and defensive back Deommodore Lenoir announced their moves to the pro game earlier this week.

Both the Pac-12 and Big Ten postponed football seasons and other fall sports on Aug. 11 due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

Per the official Oregon website, Graham was set to begin the 2020 campaign as the NCAA Division I Football Bowl Subdivision active leader in passes defended (40) and pass breakups (32). He was also tied for seventh among active FBS players with eight interceptions across his career. Graham was named All-Pac-12 second team for 2019 after he tallied double-digit pass breakups for the second straight season.

Charlie Campbell of Walter Football wrote on June 22 that Graham could be selected between the third and fifth rounds of next year's NFL Draft. Campbell added:

"Graham has been a 3-year starter and a good cover corner for Oregon. Not only does Graham play well in coverage overall, he's a good contributor as a run defender. As a sophomore, Graham had huge ball production with 21 breakups and three interceptions. However, teams were throwing at him a lot. Graham could rise as a senior, but if he is shorter than his listed height, he will likely be relegated to the slot."

Graham is listed at 5-foot-11.
