Oklahoma State’s season is inching closer.

The Cowboys are looking to take another step after a 10-win season and a trip to the Big 12 Championship. Behind superstar running back Ollie Gordon II, the Cowboys are also looking to compete for their first College Football Playoff appearance.

OSU’s journey will begin later this month as the team opens spring practice on March 26, according to McClain Baxley of 247Sports. The graphic was reportedly sent to recruits.

The Cowboys are slated to end spring practice on April 27. Although spring practice has finished with a spring game in most seasons, the Cowboys have not had a typical spring game in recent years.

OSU’s spring will consist of five weeks of practice, which will take place on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. Although OSU will return many players on both sides of the ball, the spring will be an opportunity for young players to develop and potentially earn better standings before fall camp.

Leading up to spring ball, All Pokes will have a spring preview series for every position group. Although some position battles are more competitive than others, every group has plenty of storylines as spring ball begins.

After spring ball ends in late April, the Cowboys will have roughly four months before kicking off their season in Stillwater against South Dakota State. The team’s continuity should be a significant help for the Cowboys as they try to develop.

For the first time since 2021, OSU will enter the season with the same coordinators it had the season before. Kasey Dunn and Bryan Nardo will look to help their respective sides of the ball alongside Mike Gundy.

The next few months might not be the most exciting time for OSU, but a successful few weeks in spring ball could accelerate the team’s push for a championship.
