Isaiah Simmons was a standout linebacker on Clemson's national title teams, who was selected 8th overall in the 2020 NFL Draft by the Arizona Cardinals.

Owen Pappoe, fittingly nicknamed "The Freak", just beat his 40-yard dash time in Indy.

Yesterday, the NFL combine began on the field drills and the former Auburn players took advantage of the opportunity to show why they should hear their names called to the stage in April.

Pappoe benefitted the most, running a blazing 4.4 seconds, which proved to be the fastest at his position. That alone could suddenly move him up into the third round.

Derick Hall, Auburn's projected first-round stud, ran a respectable 4.55 at the 40-yard dash, While Eku Leota did not participate.

At the broad jump, Hall jumped 10 feet, 7 inches, which was third in his position group, all while weighing over 250 pounds of muscle.

Wherever we thought the former Auburn standouts were headed in our mocks, it might be time to give both a boost in draft positions. As defenses in the League look to get more speedy to keep up with the fast-paced offenses around the NFL, Hall and Pappoe showed why they can come in and contribute early.
