According to the Commercial Appeal, Brady White was added to Memphis Football as a graduate assistant.

In 2021 he won the  Campbell Award for top football scholar-athlete. Shortly after, he was drafted 12th round by the USFL Tampa Bay Bandits, In his first season at Memphis, White threw for 3296 yard and 26 touchdowns, and then White concluded hi collegiate career in 2020 as the Tigers’ career record holder in wins as a starting quarterback (28), passing yards (10,690) and passing touchdowns (90). He ranked No. 5 nationally in passing touchdowns (31) and No. 6 nationally in passing yards (3,380) during his final season. (Stats information per Univ of Memphis athletic Website

Despite the high career numbers and exceptional win numbers, he proved at times a divisive figure and was at times even booed on his home field.  This despite many exceptional performances and often-injured receiver corps.

This should not come as a surprise to those familiar with Tigers head coach Ryan Silverfield,First-year Memphis coach Ryan Silverfield remained impressed every step of the way.

from 2021 listed his thoughts about the signal-caller.  People always ask me, ‘What does Brady White mean to me as person or this program?'” Silverfield said. “I say the best honor you could ever show someone is: I don’t have kids. If I ever have a son, I hope he grows up to be like Brady White. He represents and does things the right way in all walks of life.”
