Oregon State Beavers kicker Atticus Sappington has committed to the Oregon Ducks. He announced his decision over social media on Wednesday morning.

Sappington, a Portland native, will remain in his home state to continue his college football career and head to Eugene after spending the last two seasons with the Beavers in Corvallis. He played his high school football at Central Catholic High School.

While at Oregon State he made 18 of his 21 total field goal attempts (85.7%) and 64 of his 66 extra point attempts (96.97%).

In 2023 he made 13 of his 14 field goal attempts (92.9%) with a long of 48 yards. He was consistent from a variety of distances, connecting on all six of his fields goals between 20 and 29 yards, six of his seven field goals from between 30 and 39 yards, and six of his eight field goals from between 40 and 49 yards out.

Senior kicker Camden Lewis will play his final collegiate game next week when the No. 8 Ducks face the No. 23 Liberty Flames in the Fiesta Bowl.

Aside from Lewis, the Ducks also have freshman Grant Meadors and junior Andrew Boyle on the roster, but Boyle has not appeared in a game.

Oregon also added West Linn (Ore.) kicker Gage Hurych and Nampa (ID) kicker/punter Tyler Kinsman in the 2024 recruiting class last week.
