It's still "preseason ranking season" in college football, and the Ole Miss Rebels continue to draw strong expectations in that category this spring.

Recently, CBS Sports released its listing of the top quarterback and wide receiver duos in college football for the 2024 season, and Rebels Jaxson Dart and Tre Harris made the cut. You can view an excerpt from the piece below.

"Dart had the second-best touchdown-to-interception ratio in the SEC (23 touchdowns, five interceptions) beyond only Heisman winner Jayden Daniels, and Harris is one of just two returning players in the entire conference to total at least 900 receiving yards in 2023."

Dart is entering his third season at Ole Miss, and he has shown remarkable growth under the tutelage of head coach Lane Kiffin. Last season, he was the key cog in the Rebels reaching their first-ever 11-win season, and Harris quickly turned into his favorite target on the field.

Harris, a former transfer from Louisiana Tech, burst onto the scene for Ole Miss last season, putting up 153 receiving yards in a win over LSU and 213 yards in a nail-biting win against Texas A&M.

He also had a big game in the Rebels' Peach Bowl win over the Penn State Nittany Lions in December, and even though he missed one game due to injury, he still led the team in receiving yards (985) and receiving touchdowns (8).

The Rebels are currently in the midst of spring drills, a period that will conclude with The Grove Bowl spring game on April 13. Ole Miss will open its 2024 season at home on Aug. 31 when it plays host to the Furman Paladins.
