In today’s Fact or Fiction — Recruiting Edition — I look at three big recent topics from the recruiting trail and decide whether the statement is indeed FACT or if it’s FICTION.
1. Michael Terry III could pull an upset and choose the Huskers.
Farrell’s take: FACT
“Could” is the key word here, as Texas, Oregon, and others likely have an edge at the moment. But an official visit to Lincoln in April is a good sign for the Texas ATH, and let’s not forget how revered Matt Rhule still is in the Lone Star State. I still think they are an underdog for the 6'3", 210-pounder, but they are going to make a strong push.
2. RB Bo Jackson should go to Auburn.
Farrell’s take: FACT
He won’t, and this is tongue in cheek, but just imagine if he did. The Ohio RB will likely stay in Big Ten country at Ohio State or Penn State unless Georgia or Tennessee pull the upset, but I sure wish he was considering Auburn. And no, he’s not related.
3. WR Jaime Ffrench ends up back at Alabama.
Farrell’s take: FICTION
Nope. Florida State or Ohio State lead right now, depending on who you talk to, and USC, Miami, and others are pressing the former Bama commitment. He’s from Florida, likes the 'Noles a lot, and I’d lean that way right now. Kalen DeBoer did amazing things with WRs at Washington, but Ffrench wanted Nick Saban’s Alabama program.
