Reggie Bush accuses ESPN of 'clickbait' after comments on college athletes

Former NFL running back Reggie Bush is not happy with an ESPN article that states he said paying college athletes will "destroy some people."

Bush gave a Playboy interview in which he discussed the need to offer college athletes the right financial guidance if they're going to be paid. While the ESPN aggregation isn't wrong, they broke it up in a way that makes Bush look like the bad guy.

The FOX Sports college football studio analyst demanded ESPN take down the article because he claims he didn't say those words and criticized the media outlet for using it as "clickbait."

Bush was a two-time All-American running back during his days at USC, and he helped the school win back-to-back titles in 2003 and 2004. He won the Heisman Trophy as college football's best player in 2005 but forfeited the award in 2010 after the NCAA found that he received money and gifts from sports agents.

The 35-year-old went on to have a successful NFL career after his collegiate days at USC. Bush played for the New Orleans Saints, Detroit Lions, Miami Dolphins, Buffalo Bills and San Francisco 49ers before hanging up his cleats in 2017.
