Reggie Bush hints that he may get Heisman Trophy back

As ESPN's Ivan Maisel wrote, USC was able to welcome legendary running back Reggie Bush back to the program earlier this month after he spent 10 years exiled from the university and college football, in general, as part of a punishment handed down after Bush and his family accepted gifts during his collegiate eligibility:

Bush also vacated the Heisman Trophy he earned in 2005.

On Tuesday, though, the ball-carrier who spent over a decade in the NFL told "The Pat McAfee Show" he could soon see his Heisman returned to its rightful place:

"I have no idea," Bush said when asked if he was getting the trophy back. "We'll see," he added.

"I don't want to put nothing out there. I have no idea. I've heard conversations and things. But again...if it's not here, it's not here."

Bush also explained that quarterback Vince Young, who finished second in the Heisman voting for that season, refused to accept the trophy that Bush forfeited in 2010.

Bush entered the New Orleans Saints Hall of Fame in 2019.
