A former Alabama linebacker came to the defense of Crimson Tide men’s basketball star, Brandon Miller.

Miller, a true freshman, has been linked to the tragic shooting of 23-year-old mother, Jamea Jonae Harris on Jan. 15.

The incident happened at The Strip on the University of Alabama campus, and Darius Miles, Miller’s former teammate, was charged with capital murder. Miller’s attorney stated he was not remotely connected to the situation, but ESPN’s Dick Vitale posted a tweet about how shocked he was by Nate Oats’ comments and seeing Miller play Wednesday against South Carolina.

Ragland shut Vitale down by saying ‘this is all false.’

Alabama earned a 78-76 victory over South Carolina and Miller had 41 points.
