Report: DeVonta Smith measured 6 feet, 166 pounds at Indianapolis medical check
During his time at Alabama, wide receiver DeVonta Smith was listed at 6-foot-1 and 175 pounds. At the school's pro day, he declined to be measured or weighed but said he weighed 170 pounds. Apparently, he's smaller than that.
According to Sports Illustrated's Albert Breer, Smith was weighed and measured at a recent medical check for NFL prospects in Indianapolis and measured at just over 6 feet tall and 166 pounds.
No one doubts Smith's talent. After all, he did win the Heisman Trophy in 2020. However, 166 pounds is relatively small for an NFL player.
Despite his size, though, Smith is expected to be a top-10 pick in the draft. The 22-year-old caught 117 passes for 1,856 yards and 23 touchdowns in his final season at Alabama.
Breer also lists other notable measurements from several other players, including Zach Wilson.
