Shedeur Sanders wasn't shy about who he wanted as Colorado's next transfer portal player. The Buffaloes quarterback took to X (Formerly Twitter) on Saturday, pleading for LaJohntay Wester to be Boulder bound.

Wester has spent the past three years at Florida Atlantic. The 5-foot-11, 175-pound receiver had career highs with 1,168 receiving yards and eight touchdowns last season. He had 2,703 receiving yards and 21 touchdowns as a two-year starter for the Owls. An original unrated recruit from Palmetto (Florida) as part of the 2020 class, who had only one offer during the height of the covid pandemic.

Sanders could use Wester's talents in the Buffs stacked receiver rotation. He would also be a solid addition with Xavier Weaver heading to the NFL. Colorado's offense looks for more weapons after averaging 363.6 yards per game last year. Sanders remains the biggest component to CU's success as an early Heisman favorite in 2024. He'll be chasing a few more records again next season after setting Colorado's single-season mark for passing yards.

Deion Sanders and the Buffaloes have added nineteen players via the transfer portal during this cycle. Colorado's combined recruiting class for 2024 is currently ranked 21st overall, according to 247Sports. This includes top offensive lineman Jordan Seaton, who reportedly turned down a "seven-figure offer" from Tennessee to join Coach Prime at CU.
