Over the past few days, 257 college football prospects saw their dream of being drafted into the NFL come true.

While there were plenty of surprises throughout the draft, the fall of two high-profile quarterback prospects seemed to take the cake. Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders came into the pre-draft process as a favorite to go No. 1 overall, but ended up falling to the fifth round, where the Cleveland Browns scooped him up at No. 144.

Sanders seemed to draw the most attention, but Texas quarterback Quinn Ewers, who was fresh off one of the best careers in program history, also plummeted down the board. He went from a possible second-round pick to being taken with the No. 231 overall pick in the seventh round by the Miami Dolphins.

A fall that Sanders' brother, Shilo Sanders, had something to say about when streaming the draft on Twitch.

"Miami chose Quinn Ewers," Sanders said. "I remember last year, before the season, Quinn Ewers was the first quarterback. That's even worse than Shedeur bro. Him getting taken in the seventh. He got hurt though."

Despite posting a 27-9 record, making two College Football Playoff appearances and leaving Texas with the third most passing yards and touchdowns in school history, Ewers saw 12 quarterbacks go before him.

A couple of the more shocking ones include Graham Mertz , who is considered one of the bigger busts in recent recruiting history and suffered a major knee injury this past year. Another would be Riley Leonard, whose weakness in the eyes of many is his arm talent.

Many had advised Ewers to return to college for a final year, which likely would have forced him to transfer with Arch Manning ready to take over, but it could have given him a chance to improve his stock. However, his constant injury issues and troubles with the deep ball may have been too much to overlook for teams.

As for Shilo Sanders, he was signed by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers after going undrafted.
