Social media reacts to nation's top QB recruit flipping from Georgia to Nebraska

Dylan Raiola flipping his commitment from Georgia to Nebraska is easily one of the biggest recruiting wins in Cornhuskers history, and the fact that he snubbed the Bulldogs — a college football superpower — makes it all the more awesome for Nebraska fans.

This is a program that has been in the doldrums of college football for years now. A once proud program that won national championships in 1994, 1995 and 1997, the Cornhuskers haven't had a winning season since 2016 and their overall record is a middling 174-127 since the year 2000.

But Raiola (son of former Nebraska NFL offensive lineman Dominic Raiola), a five-star quarterback from Buford, Georgia, represents massive hope for the Huskers.

On Monday, Raiola announced his commitment from Georgia to Nebraska. He had been committed to UGA since the spring of 2023.

To say that this is a monumental commitment for Nebraska would be an understatement, and social media reacted how you might expect:

According to 247Sports, Raiola is the No. 1 quarterback in the 2024 class and the No. 2 recruit overall.
