The Texas Longhorns may be moving to the SEC next season, but that does not mean that the TCU Horned Frogs will be treating their matchup against the Longhorns on Saturday any different than usual.

TCU's head football coach, Sonny Dykes thinks that fans are putting more pressure on the matchup than need be. Dykes mentioned that nothing will change in practice for the Horned Frogs in terms of getting ready to host the Longhorns this upcoming weekend.

“It certainly doesn’t change our preparation or anything like that," Dykes said. "It’s probably more of a thing for the fans honestly than it is for the players."

Historically, the Longhorns are 64-28-1 against the Horned Frogs and have a 28-12 advantage in Forth Worth on the road.

Last season, the Longhorns came up short to TCU and fell 17-10.

Both the Longhorns and the Horned Frogs are big-named football programs with eyes on the prize to add another Big 12 conference win to their record this season.

However, regardless of the program, their record, or their standings, Dykes is persistent in treating every opponent with the same effort. Of course, defeating a Top-10 team like the Texas Longhorns would add an extra incentive, but Dykes is not going to change his game plan.

"I think there’s always motivation when you play against programs that are historically successful programs or big programs, or however you want to phrase it," Dykes said. "That may be a little bit of an added incentive, but from a coaching perspective we’re going to coach our hardest every single week no matter who the opponent is.”
