The Tennessee Vols are "one to watch" for 2025 four-star offensive lineman Darius Afalava according to Rivals.com.
LSU is high on Afalava's list, but Tennessee is a team to watch for the talented offensive lineman thanks in part to the presence of offensive analyst McKenzie Milton.
Milton, a former quarterback at UCF who played under Josh Heupel for three seasons in Orlando, is from Hawaii. And that's a connection that's "important" in Afalava's recruitment according to Rivals.com.
From Rivals: Tennessee is another one to watch especially since analyst McKenzie Milton is from Hawaii and that’s an important connection. Washington is another to watch and Afalava will visit Oklahoma and Auburn this spring.
Afalava, 6-foot-5/320 lbs from Lehi, UT, is rated in 247Sports' composite rankings as the No. 22 interior offensive lineman in the nation and the No. 3 player in the state of Utah.
The four-star recruit is set to take an official visit to Tennessee the weekend of June 7.
“There’s a little bit of the Poly (Polynesian) community going on here, which I love. Tennessee was beautiful," said Afalava to 247Sports last summer.
“I talked to (linebacker) Keenan (Pili) a little bit,” added Afalava. “He told me it’s lovely. Everyone here is greeting. Again, the (Southern) hospitality is out of this world. It might feel like home, so that’s good, as well.”
Tennessee currently has six players committed to its 2025 recruiting class, which is ranked No. 12 in the nation.
