Oregon Ducks tight end Terrance Ferguson has announced that he will return to Eugene in 2024.

He shared his decision over Instagram on Saturday afternoon.

Ferguson caught 42 passes for 414 receiving yards and 6 touchdowns in 2023 and was a top option for Heisman finalist quarterback Bo Nix .

The junior tight end was one of the better tight ends in the Pac-12 and should help the Ducks continue to compete for a conference championship in 2024.

With his return, Oregon's tight end room projects to consist of Patrick Herbert (Sr.), Kenyon Sadiq (So.), Roger Saleapaga (Tfr.) and A.J. Pugliano (Tfr.), with the latter two players signing with the Ducks in the 2024 recruiting class.

There will be some attrition from the position, as earlier this week it was reported that veteran tight end Casey Kelly plans to enter the transfer portal after spending the 2023 season with the Ducks following a transfer from Ole Miss.

Ferguson has been a dependable weapon for Oregon's offense throughout his three years in Eugene, serving as both a key blocker and a playmaking tight end in the passing game.

His return in 2024 is not only a boost for the offense, but he'll also help mentor the younger tight ends coming up in the program who will compete for snaps after his departure.

Ferguson's decision to return continues a string of important commitments from important players to play for Oregon in 2024 including defensive end Jordan Burch, linebacker Jeffrey Bassa and running back Noah Whittington
