Quinn Ewers led Texas to a College Football Playoff appearance this season, and the quarterback is hoping to do the same again next year.

Ewers announced on Thursday that he is returning to Texas for another season. He shared a video on X thanking his teammates, coaches and Longhorns fans, which players typically do before announcing that they will declare for the NFL Draft. However, the clip ended with Ewers saying, “I’m coming back … Hook ’em.”

Ewers threw for 3,479 yards, 22 touchdowns and six interceptions this season. Texas finished as the No. 3 team in the nation and lost to Washington in the College Football Playoff semifinals.

The Longhorns will once again be a championship contender next season and an attractive destination for transfer players now that Ewers is sticking around.

Now that Ewers is officially remaining at Texas for another season, more questions are likely to be raised about one of the Longhorns’ most high-profile players.
