The Georgia Bulldogs will face a ranked opponent for the first time this season with the Kentucky Wildcats. They provide a great rushing attack and a stout defense that has caused some issues. The Bulldogs have some players to watch this weekend if they want to tame the Cats.

Xavian Sorey

Georgia's outside linebacker has had his fair share of good moments in games this season, But this past weekend, there were some run plays that he was taken advantage of, and Auburn was able to churn out a big amount of yardage on the ground. Kentucky's rushing attack has proven they are one of the best in the country after Ray Davis had 280 yards against Florida. Though Sorey had some issues, he is still an amazing defender for the Bulldogs, tied for sixth on the team in tackles with 12.0 and a sack. They will need his playmaking ability this Saturday, and they will need his eyes to be right when on the field.

Brock Bowers

Brock Bowers is perhaps the biggest reason Georgia has remained undefeated thus far in the 2023 season. In the past two games, Bowers has hauled in 17 catches for 278  yards and three touchdowns, which brought his season total from 135 yards and no touchdowns to 413 total yards and his three touchdowns. His performance against Auburn this past weekend earned Bowers the John Mackey Tight End of the Week award. Bowers will need another great performance this weekend to keep the Dawgs on top.

Carson Beck

Beck has been a solid performer thus far into the season, especially when the Bulldog's offense is in a third-down situation. He is 25/35 and threw for 295 yards and two touchdowns on the game's most critical downs. Most importantly, on third and seven or more, he is 14/18, converted ten first downs, and gotten his two touchdowns in those situations. The Kentucky defense is ranked 95th in the country in allowing third-down conversions, letting up 42.5% of conversions.

Sure, Missouri is still undefeated and in the division, but this football game feels as if the SEC East is somewhat in the balance on Saturday. Georgia will need impact performances from all of their stars.
