Auburn's 2022 season was filled with disappointment.

Following the firing of Bryan Harsin at the end of October, the Tigers made the decision to promote running backs coach Cadillac Williams to interim head coach for the remainder of the year.

The fans adored this move, showing up in droves for the Tigers' next home game vs Texas A&M.

It was an atmosphere unlike any other that season, and arguably unlike any home game over the last few years.

Cadillac ended up earning his first win and his first SEC victory as a head coach that night following a hard fought 13-10 slugfest against the Aggies.

The opening scene on SEC Network, with Williams locking arms with his players leaving the locker room - just like he did back during his playing days - was a sight to see. The roar as Auburn ran out of the tunnel, the orange lights providing background for the intimidating atmosphere, and the understanding that despite the season having been lost already, there was a newfound hope and energy with someone so dearly loved by the fanbase having taken the reins.

It was perfect.

Take a look the scene from last season's A&M game below.
