One of the very first things WVU head football coach Neal Brown said when he took the job back in 2019 is that he was going to make it a top priority to keep the top talent in the state of West Virginia, home.

Brown has had a pretty good track record in doing so, landing the top player in the state in 2020 (Sean Martin), 2021 (Wyatt Milum), and 2022 TE Corbin Page. The only player he missed out on was 2023 offensive lineman Layth Ghannam, who chose Virginia Tech.

This year, Brown and his staff have their work cut out for them as they will be competing against Georgia Tech, Illinois, Maryland, Miami, NC State, Penn State, and Tennessee for Huntington offensive lineman Robby Martin.

Martin was recently on campus for an unofficial visit, attending the WVU spring game.

"It went great I liked my visit and they treated me and my teammates well," Martin told Mountaineers Now. "The staff had great energy and it was great to see coach Moore and Brown. They are a good school and have recruited me hard."

There is no timetable for a decision at this time.
