Trevor Lawrence among CFB players calling for formation of players' union
Clemson quarterback Trevor Lawrence is leading the charge for the formation of a players’ union in college football.
With the 2020 CFB season in jeopardy, Lawrence and Ohio State quarterback Justin Fields listed a series of objectives for the season, one of which is to “create a college football players association.”
The list also includes the establishment of universal health and safety protocols.
According to ESPN’s Dan Murphy, Stanford defensive lineman Dylan Boles said there’s universal support of the plan among players.
Rumors that the 2020 college football season could be delayed until the spring gained momentum over the weekend, and that resulted in Lawrence's plea that players want to compete.
