TSU running back Jordan Bell wants to play football again despite partial leg amputation
Tennessee State Tigers running back Jordan Bell feels lucky despite the fact a motorcycle accident resulted in the amputation of a portion of his left leg.
In fact, Bell doesn't believe his football career is finished.
Per TMZ Sports and Drake Hills of the Nashville Tennessean, Bell was riding in Nashville on April 4 when he hit a pothole and lost control of his bike. The 20-year-old underwent multiple operations, and doctors eventually were forced to amputate below the knee.
Nevertheless, Bell knows that fateful day could've ended differently.
"I just feel like God had a hand on me," Bell told the Nashville Tennessean. "I could've gotten ran over."
On April 29, several individuals from the TSU football program visited Bell at his home.
Bell is already planning to "eventually play football again," family members told TMZ.
Bell's family launched a GoFundMe to provide financial assistance with medical bills and other support for the RB and his family. It was set up through the TSU Department of Athletics Compliance Office.
