LSU QB Jayden Daniels Brad Penner-USA TODAY Sports

An old story about Jayden Daniels recirculated on Saturday night after the LSU quarterback won the Heisman Trophy.

Daniels spent 2019-21 at Arizona State prior to transferring to LSU, where he blossomed into a star. ASU ended up going 8-5 in Daniels’ final season with the program.

When Daniels announced in Feb. 2022 that he would be transferring, a video went viral that showed his ex-Sun Devils teammates cleaning out his locker in the team’s facility.

The player who was recording the video said at the end of the clip that Daniels “suck anyways.”

So much for that.

Though he passed for just 10 touchdowns and 10 interceptions in 2021, Daniels regained the top form he had displayed as a freshman in 2019 upon joining the Tigers.

Daniels passed for 6,725 yards, 57 touchdowns and just seven interceptions with LSU. He also rushed for 2,019 and 21 touchdowns in two seasons with the team. He is the opposite of suck.
