On Thursday, Utah fans finally received the news that they had been waiting on this entire offseason, and maybe even the past year as a whole.

Star tight end Brant Kuithe took to the app formerly known as Twitter to announce that he will be returning to Salt Lake City for a seventh season. Similar to quarterback Cam Rising, an injury sidelined Kuithe the entire season for Utah, and had many fans questioning when and if, he would return to play in a Utah uniform.

Kuithe last played for Utah on September 24 of the 2022 season, when the Utes were taking on Arizona State. Over his career, he has accumulated 148 catches for 1,882 yards and 16 receiving touchdowns with four rushing touchdowns as well. His return gives Utah a much-needed weapon for Cam Rising to throw to and also helps form what could be the most dynamic tight-end duo in college football with him and UCLA transfer Carsen Ryan.

The Utes were already viewed as the early favorites to win the Big 12 before Kuithe's announcement, and now that he will be back and healthy, the Utes have a legitimate chance to make a deep run next season. If they can add a couple more weapons, this offense could end up being extremely dangerous.
