Invitations for the 2024 NFL Combine are beginning to trickle in, with one of CUSA's best defenders announcing their invite on Friday. Via his social media, standout UTEP senior linebacker Tyrice Knight announced his participation with the caption "God still moving mountains."

The 6'2", 235-pound linebacker is one of UTEP's better draft prospects in recent years. A Lakeland, Florida native, Knight had the best season of his college career in 2023. The senior had an impressive 140 tackles, leading all of Conference USA. That number was also good for fourth in all of FBS. Knight posted double-digit tackles in eight games this season. 

Knight was also tied for second in the league in tackles for loss, posting 15.5 in 2023. He also had 4.5 sacks with six passes defended and a forced fumble.

Over the course of his four seasons at UTEP, Knight totaled 392 tackles, with his tackle count going over 100 twice. He also ended up with 8.5 sacks.

The 2024 NFL Combine is scheduled for February 29 through March 3 in Indianapolis, Indiana.
