Watch: Appalachian State fans take celebration to the streets after upset over No. 6 Texas A&M

Why do Top 25 teams keep scheduling Appalachian State?

Nearly 15 years removed from the mother of all upsets, knocking off No. 5 Michigan, Appalachian State did it again on Saturday. This time, the victim was No. 6 Texas A&M.

After a massive 17-14 win over the Aggies on Saturday, App State fans took to Boone, North Carolina streets, to celebrate.

Once the streets could no longer contain the celebration, some moved the festivities to the water.

Appalachian State's defense carried them to the win on Saturday, holding Texas A&M to just 186 yards of total offense.

After a scoreless first quarter, the Mountaineers and Aggies traded touchdowns in the second, going into the halftime break knotted up at 7-7.

The two sides traded scores again in the third quarter and headed into the final stanza, still tied at 14-14. With just over eight minutes to go, App State kicker Michael Hughes nailed a 29-yard field goal, which proved to be the game-winner.
