Matters between Oklahoma and Ohio State didn’t end after Saturday’s game was completed. Nope. The Sooners instead decided to rub things in afterwards with a show of disprespect towards the Buckeyes.

After doing his on-field postgame interviews, Oklahoma quarterback Baker Mayfield celebrated with the Sooners fans who made the trip to Columbus. Then he picked up an Oklahoma flag, ran around the field with it, and planted it in the center of Ohio State’s logo at midfield:

Ohio State players had already exited the field before that happened, otherwise you could imagine there would have been some tension. Claiming an opponent’s home field as your own with a gesture like that is as disrespectful as it gets on the road.

It’s too bad that after splitting their two-game series, the teams aren’t set to meet again in 2018.
