Watch: Colorado star Travis Hunter scores highlight-reel touchdown in return

Dual-threat player Travis Hunter is one of the most electrifying players in college football and the Colorado Buffalos missed his presence in a big way over the past few weeks when he was sidelined due to injury.

He returned on Friday night against Stanford and did not waste any time reminding everybody just how dangerous he can be when he gets the football in his hands.

Hunter scored his first offensive touchdown of the season in the first quarter, with quarterback Shedeur Sanders hooking up with the star on a 24-yard play that featured an incredible move in open field that left the Stanford defense looking completely helpless.

Hunter was the talk of college football through the first two-and-a-half weeks of the season as he made an impact as both a wide receiver and cornerback, averaging over 100 snaps per game over the first two contests. But in Colorado's Week 3 game against Colorado State, he was on the receiving end of a late hit as a wide receiver that knocked him out of the lineup for the next three games.

He was a dual-threat star at the FCS level a year ago under Deion Sanders at Jackson State and transferred to Colorado when Sanders became the Buffaloes head coach. Hunter is proving every time he steps on the field that his impact a year ago was not simply the result of playing against a lower level of competition. He can do it at the highest level of college football as well.

Prior to his injury, Hunter had recorded nine tackles, two pass defenses and an interception on defense while also catching 16 passes for 213 yards. His touchdown in the first quarter on Friday was his first at the FBS level. He scored four on offense at the FCS level last season.
