Every Saturday, college football fans get a chance to witness something new. This week’s unique moment was brought to us by Georgia Bulldogs defensive back Eric Stokes.

Late in the second quarter, the redshirt freshman exploded off the edge on Missouri’s punt attempt and timed his block attempt perfectly. Just as the football came off the punter’s foot, it hit Stokes directly in the head.

As the ball deflected off his facemask then bounced off the turf, Stokes maintained his composure and snatched it from the air then returned it for the touchdown.

This probably isn’t how Stokes imagined he would score his first collegiate touchdown, but these special moments can never be planned.

Now Georgia’s young defensive back has a great memory for his career and his teammates will have a play everyone can laugh at in the film room next week.
