Watch: Georgia DB Lewis Cine ejected for targeting Florida's Kyle Pitts
Florida's Kyle Pitts, who is one of the best tight ends in college football, was the victim of a targeting play on Saturday against the Georgia Bulldogs. Georgia defensive back Lewis Cine was flagged for targeting and ejected from the game.
A deep ball from Gators quarterback Kyle Trask was caught by Pitts, but Cine was there to make the play, making direct contact with Pitts' head while losing his helmet in the process.
Since Cine's ejection came in the first half of Saturday's game, he will not be automatically suspended for next week's game against the Missouri Tigers.
Florida entered Saturday's matchup against the Bulldogs with a 3-1 record, winning games against Ole Miss, South Carolina and Missouri. At the time of this writing, the Gators were leading the Bulldogs 31-21.
