Iowa State lost in a truly pathetic and embarrassing fashion on Saturday against Iowa.
The Cyclones were down 18-17 and about to get the ball back on a punt. The only problem is they bungled the punt return and fumbled the ball away when two of their players collided.
Datrone Young ran into teammate Tarique Milton and knocked him clearly out, allowing the Hawkeyes to recover. All Iowa needed to do was kneel out the clock on the win and escape 18-17.
Iowa State is now 1-1 while Iowa improves to 3-0. This is about as an ugly way to lose as how Michigan State went down.
