The LSU Tigers came out strong in support of their student-athletes’ ability to profit off their name, image and likeness on Thursday, creating an NIL-themed video featuring Seattle Seahawks star safety Jamal Adams as narrator.

Splicing together footage of many phenomenal athletes who’ve come and gone from Baton Rouge to excel at the professional level, LSU’s celebration of the NCAA’s overdue, landmark decision is absolutely glorious.

LSU has been a lightning rod for attracting elite athletic talent in many different sports, whether it be from Louisiana or outside the state.

The Tigers’ track and field tradition is extremely strong, and their baseball and men’s golf teams have won six and five national championships, respectively.

Of course, the biggest sports in the modern NCAA are men’s basketball and college football, and LSU is particularly strong in the latter. Coach Ed Orgeron led a loaded roster featuring Heisman Trophy-winning quarterback Joe Burrow to a national title during the 2019 campaign.

Other outstanding players to grace the Tigers’ football program from recent years include Odell Beckham Jr., Patrick Peterson, Tyrann Mathieu, Deion Jones, Justin Jefferson, Ja’Marr Chase, Grant Delpit, Devin White and many others.

LSU’s basketball program also produced the No. 1 overall pick in the 2016 NBA Draft in Philadelphia 76ers All-Star Ben Simmons.
