Watch: Miami DC runs onto the field screaming, gifts North Carolina a first down

Things got a little wild during Saturday's matchup between No. 12 North Carolina and No. 25 Miami at Chapel Hill.

With under three minutes to go in the first half, a bizarre scene unfolded, seeing Miami defensive coordinator Lance Guidry lose his cool and gifting the Tar Heels a first down near the red zone.

Facing a fourth-and-1 from the Miami 20 yard-line, North Carolina lined up to go for it. The Hurricanes didn't have the proper personnel on the field, prompting a timeout from the sidelines. However, the blunder infuriated Guidry, who stormed onto the field beyond the hash marks screaming. His inability to control his emotions drew a 15-yard unsportsmanlike conduct penalty, keeping the Tar Heels' drive alive.

The blowup ultimately cost the Hurricanes on the scoreboard. Three plays later, North Carolina capitalized, scoring on an Omarion Hampton two-yard touchdown run to even the score at 14 apiece nearing halftime.
