Missouri scored the big upset in Saturday's early window with a walk-off 61-yard Harrison Mevis field goal over No. 15 Kansas State.

The Tigers were a 3.5-point underdog entering Saturday's game. They finished 6-7 last season, ranking sixth in SEC East, while the Wildcats won the Big 12 Championship.

Quarterback Brady Cook led the offense with 356 passing yards and two touchdowns, both of which went to Luther Burden, who finished with seven receptions for 114 yards.

Per ESPN Stats & Info, the win is the first for Missouri as an unranked team against a ranked, non-conference opponent in nearly 33 years. The 61-yard kick is also the longest in SEC history.

The win is a reminder that the Tigers won't go down quietly this season. The SEC runs through Georgia, but Missouri (3-0) will put up a fight. It did last year when it kept up with Georgia in a 26-22 home loss.

The teams meet on Nov. 4 this season. Missouri also plays ranked opponents LSU and Tennessee at home, giving it plenty more opportunities to recreate Saturday's field-storming magic.
