Watch: Navy RB blazes by Memphis for 75-yard score

Navy entered Thursday night's matchup against 2-0 Memphis as a heavy underdog, but fullback Alex Tecza gave the Midshipmen a massive boost with a long touchdown in the first half.

With 5:15 left in the first quarter, Tecza corralled an option pitch from quarterback Tai Lavatai, cutting through the Memphis defensive line before outrunning everyone to the end zone for a 75-yard touchdown.   The sophomore came into Thursday night with 46 rushing yards (11 carries) and two receptions for 16 yards. However, he's more than outdone himself after only one half of football against Memphis. While still without a catch at halftime, Tecza had a whopping 141 rushing yards and a touchdown off 11 carries.

If the Midshipmen stand a chance against the Tigers, they'll need all the points they can get. Memphis entered the contest averaging 46.5 points per game over the first two weeks of the year, tied with Western Kentucky for the second-most among American Athletic Conference teams.
