NC State’s defense was suffocating in a 26-6 road victory over Wake Forest. The Wolfpack pitched a shutout through most of the game until a 4th quarter touchdown pass by Wake QB Michael Kern. The Demon Deacons could only muster 7 total rushing yards as NC State simply didn’t let Wake get any penetration. QB Brennan Armstrong finished with 111 yards passing, 96 yards rushing, and 2 total touchdowns in the win, while KC Concepcion had 86 yards on the ground of his own.
