Clemson picked up the huge 31–23 victory over No. 15 Notre Dame at home in a win that made head coach Dabo Swinney the winningest coach in Clemson football history. Phil Mafah was the dominant force for the Tigers all afternoon, as he carried the ball a whopping 36 times for 186 yards and 2 touchdowns in the win. Mafah accounted for all but 99 yards of the Clemson offense all by himself. QB Cade Klubnik went 13-26 and 109 yards with a passing touchdown in the win. Defensively, LB Jeremiah Trotter Jr. had 11 total tackles, 2 sacks, and a pick-6.
