Watch: Notre Dame's Braden Lenzy scores TD on one of the best catches of the year

It is going to be difficult to find a better catch than the one Notre Dame wide receiver Braden Lenzy pulled off on Saturday afternoon against Navy.

Lenzy hauled in a 38-yard touchdown pass from quarterback Drew Pyne to give the Fighting Irish a 14-0 lead in the first quarter, reaching around Navy defensive back Mbiti Williams Jr. and snagging it against his back.

This play had no business being a catch based on the position of both players and the location of the throw, but Lenzy figured out a way to pull it off.

That is very reminiscent of a similar catch made by former Alabama wide receiver Tyrone Prothro years back.

After a terrible start to the season, Notre Dame has put it together by winning six of its past seven games entering Saturday. That includes back-to-back blowout wins against ranked opponents Syracuse and Clemson.
