Watch: Oregon offense explodes as Bo Nix solidifies himself as Heisman frontrunner

On Saturday, Oregon quarterback Bo Nix authored his masterpiece in the first half against Arizona State.

He led the Ducks to touchdowns on each of their six drives as Oregon built a 42-0 lead after two quarters.

At halftime, Nix was 22-of-27 for 381 yards (14.1 yards per attempt) and six touchdowns.

His first two touchdowns went to tight end Patrick Herbert, younger brother to former Oregon and current Los Angeles Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert.

His third and fourth were to wide receiver Troy Franklin, the former when Nix bulleted a pass into a tight window on a 16-yarder and the latter on a beautiful deep ball.

Nix didn't need to do much on his fifth touchdown toss, as wide receiver Gary Bryant caught the ball three yards behind the line of scrimmage and took it 71 yards to the end zone.

Nix added a sixth touchdown pass 10 seconds before halftime when he connected with wide receiver Tez Johnson, tying the program record for most touchdown passes in a game with a half of football remaining.

Per oddschecker, Nix (+110) is the favorite to win the Heisman Trophy. Through halftime of Oregon's blowout over Arizona State, he has posted 40 total touchdowns to only two interceptions this season. He's on pace to set the NCAA record for single-season completion percentage, which he improved to 78% (280-of-359) after a first half in which he left no doubt that he's the player everyone else is chasing for the Heisman.
