Watch: RB Donovan Edwards completes huge pass to help Michigan beat Ohio State

Michigan running back Donovan Edwards broke Ohio State's spirit last year with his legs. This year, he used his arm.

He completed a pass on a trick play to tight end Colston Loveland to set up a field goal to give the Wolverines a 27-17 lead. They went on to win, 30-24, their third consecutive against the Buckeyes.

Edwards has had a quiet season running the ball, entering Week 13 with 95 carries for 323 yards (3.4 yards per attempt) and three touchdowns following his breakout 2022.

Last year, Edwards had 140 carries, 991 yards (7.1 yards per attempt) and seven touchdowns. He had his best game against Ohio State when he finished with a career-high 216 rushing yards on 22 carries, including touchdown runs of 75 and 85 yards in the fourth quarter as Michigan won 45-23.

With Blake Corum back this season after a knee injury held him to two carries in last year's game, Edwards wasn't asked to do much as a running back in this year's win.

He had 10 carries for 31 yards, saving his biggest contribution for his 34-yard pass.

The completion made Edwards 3-for-3 in his career passing. He had a 75-yard touchdown as a freshman to wideout Roman Wilson in the 2021 Big Ten title game against Iowa in a 42-3 win.

Next Saturday, Michigan (12-0, 9-0 in Big Ten) returns to the conference championship game where it will face Iowa (10-2, 7-2 in Big Ten) again. This time, the Hawkeyes should be better prepared.
