INDIANAPOLIS — Garret Greenfield made his mark on the 2024 NFL Scouting Combine. The former South Dakota State offensive lineman broke an event record while on the field at Lucas Oil Stadium for his workout on Sunday.

Greenfield set a new record on Sunday, hitting a 38.5-inch mark during the vertical jump. That is the highest leap among offensive linemen in the history of the NFL Combine.

Greenfield blew past the previous record with his impressive jump. BYU's Blake Freeland set the highest mark among offensive lineman in 2023, recording a 37-inch vertical.

The mark by Greenfield was an impressive 1.5 inches higher than what Freeland hit last spring. That makes us think the 38.5-inch mark will stand for at least a few years.

In addition to his impressive mark in the vertical jump, Greenfield also posted a 5.22-second time in the 40-yard dash, did the 10-yard split in 1.77 seconds and recorded a broad jump of 9 feet, 5 inches.

At 6-foot-6, 311 pounds, Greenfield is ranked as the 17th-best offensive line prospect at the 2024 NFL Scouting Combine, per NFL.com.

Greenfield wasn't the only player at the NFL Combine to make history this season. Texas wide receiver Xavier Worthy set a new record in the 40-yard dash on Saturday afternnon.

The former Longhorn posted an impressive 4.21-second time in the event, breaking the record by one one-hundredth of a second. He edged out former Washington receiver John Ross III, who initially set the record at 4.22 seconds in 2017.

We've seen a lot of records broke during this year's event in Indianapolis.
